Friday, February 01, 2019 @ 11:53 AM | By John Chunn

Wray Legal LLP announced that Samantha Hamilton has joined the Toronto civil litigation and employment law boutique as an associate.

She joined Wray Legal in 2019 after articling at a large full-service firm in Toronto where she gained experience practising commercial and civil litigation.

Hamilton works with Wray Legal’s partners in all areas of the firm’s practice, including employment and labour law, civil litigation, human rights, long-term disability benefits and administrative law.

She has appeared before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the small claims court and the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario. She has experience conducting and participating in civil motions, pretrials, trials and settlement conferences; examinations (discoveries and judgment debtor); and mediations (civil and human rights).

According to the firm’s press release, Hamilton has developed a passion for social justice advocacy through her work and past experiences. Prior to articling she worked at the Human Rights Legal Support Centre where she provided legal support to victims of discrimination under the Ontario Human Rights Code. While a law student, she worked at several legal clinics and pro bono appointments including ARCH Disability Law Centre, FCJ Refugee Centre and Osgoode Hall Law School’s Community & Legal Aid Services Program.

She is a graduate of Osgoode Hall and was called to the Ontario bar in 2018.
