Fasken adds counsel to B.C. corporate commercial group

Fasken announced that Sandy (Ningyan) Wang has joined the firm as counsel to the corporate commercial group in the British Columbia region.

According to the firm’s press release, Wang is an experienced business lawyer with a thorough understanding of the business and legal environments in Canada and China. She has practised for more than 16 years in business and corporate and securities law. Her primary focus is capital markets, corporate financing, mergers and acquistions and commercial transactions.

“Sandy’s extensive experience in China and Canada strengthens our ability to serve clients with business interests in these countries,” said Will Westeringh, managing partner of the B.C. region.

Fasken’s release added that Wang practised PRC (People’s Republic of China) law in Beijing and has served as Canadian legal counsel for clients including state-owned enterprises, public companies, private equity firms and startups.
