Harper Grey adds two associate counsel to business law group

Harper Grey announced the expansion of its business law group with the addition of Paul Bowes and Victor Harwardt as associate counsel.

According to Harper Grey’s press release, Bowes and Harwardt have each served the business community for more than 35 years and, together with the recent addition of Michael Kennedy, bring a wealth of experience to the firm’s public company and securities law practices.

With extensive experience in the corporate finance area, Bowes assists companies on a broad range of transactions, including initial public offerings, stock exchange listings, private placements, debt financings, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), takeovers, reverse takeovers, changes of business, qualifying transactions, plans of arrangement, amalgamations, corporate reorganizations, continuations and divestitures.

He has regularly represented public and private companies, private equity investors, brokers, special committees, boards, financial advisers and other transaction participants involved in a variety of corporate finance and M&A transactions, including friendly and hostile transactions and proxy contests.

Harwardt’s clients include privately held companies, junior and senior stock exchange listed companies, as well as underwriters and investment dealers involved in the Canadian capital markets.

He works with his clients on a wide range of matters including public and private equity financings, initial public offerings, stock exchange listings, M&A and other corporate combinations and arrangements, debt financings and restructurings, corporate governance, mining agreements including joint ventures, licensing and other assets transfer and divestiture arrangements.
