Cassels Brock welcomes 12 associates

Cassels Brock announced that the following 12 associates have joined the firm: Sean Baraich, Ave Bross, Tiffany Chiu, Tristan Davis, Joseph Hamaliuk, Heesoo Kim, Kelly Lee, Any Obando, Paras Patel, Jonathan Shepherd, Rebecca Sim and Jesse Tepperman. All formerly were summer students and articled with the firm.

Baraich has joined the Vancouver office as an associate in the business law group. His practice focuses on corporate and securities law matters.

Bross has joined the Toronto office’s real estate & development group. His practice focuses on all aspects of commercial real estate including project development, acquisitions and dispositions, leasing and secured lending. In addition to commercial real estate, Bross’s practice also includes work in the field of e-sports and sports and entertainment.

Chiu works with the Toronto office’s business law group. Chiu’s practice focuses on corporate and securities law matters.

Davis, also based in Toronto, works with the financial services group. His practice focuses on corporate and commercial law, representing both lenders and borrowers involved in domestic and cross-border financing transactions and corporate finance matters.

Hamaliuk has joined the Toronto office’s litigation group. He has a broad corporate and commercial litigation practice and offers experience in a variety of areas including franchise, securities and intellectual property matters.

Kim will work from the Toronto office in the business law group. Her practice focuses on public and private mergers and acquisitions (M&A), securities offerings and general corporate and securities law matters.

Lee will also work in the Toronto business law group. Her practice focuses on corporate and securities law matters.

Obando is another new member of the firm’s Toronto business law group. Obando’s practice involves assisting clients with intellectual property (IP) disputes and litigation, as well as the protection, enforcement and licensing of IP rights.

Patel has joined the Toronto office in the firm’s financial services group. His practice focuses in corporate finance matters and corporate transactions.

Shepherd has joined the Toronto office as an associate in the litigation group. He maintains a broad civil and commercial litigation practice.

Sim has joined the firm’s Vancouver office as an associate in its litigation group. She has been involved in a variety of corporate and commercial litigation matters, including securities and regulatory matters, fraud and enforcement proceedings, and corporate/commercial disputes.

Tepperman will also work in the Toronto office’s business law group. His practice focuses on M&A, private equity investments, securities, corporate finance and general corporate and commercial law.
