Minden Gross hires partner, four associates

Minden Gross LLP announced that Abbasali (Ali) Kermalli has joined the firm as a partner in the business law group and Samantha Schreiber, Samantha Bogoroch, Nusrat Ali and Darren Nguyen have joined as associates.

Kermalli’s practice focuses on commercial transactions, particularly mergers and acquisitions (M&A), as well as commercial financing, corporate governance and everyday corporate matters.

Prior to joining the firm, Kermalli was a senior partner with Loopstra Nixon LLP and he has been a senior in-house counsel and legal adviser for two international organizations, as well as with major Bay Street law firms, advising on matters that include complex M&A, debt and equity financings and IPOs.

Schreiber’s practice focuses on commercial litigation and real estate disputes. She has experience in a range of litigation matters including working with companies in contractual disputes, representing shareholders in oppression remedy claims and advising public companies on intellectual property matters.

Bogoroch's practice focuses on corporate and commercial litigation as well as bankruptcy and insolvency proceedings.

Since joining Minden Gross, she has been involved in a range of litigation matters, including debtor/creditor disputes, tort claims, contract disputes, shareholder oppression applications and fraud investigations.

Ali is a member of the firm’s business law group. Her practice primarily focuses on corporate transactions, including M&A. She also advises clients on general corporate matters that include drafting and negotiating commercial agreements, business structuring and corporate governance.

Nguyen will work in the firm’s business law and securities and public markets groups.

He works with clients primarily in corporate transactions, such as starting a business, M&A and public offerings. He also assists clients with managing general business issues and drafting and negotiating commercial agreements and business structures.
