Fasken hires new corporate/commercial law partner for Montreal office

Fasken announced that Jean-François Séguin has joined the firm as a partner of the corporate/commercial law group in its Montreal office.

According to Fasken's press release, Séguin advises high-growth companies as well as institutional investors on mergers and acquisitions transactions, equity financings, joint ventures and a wide range of other corporate matters. He also acts as an adviser to tech startups looking to raise capital, build administrative functions and/or expand internationally.

“We are happy that Jean-François has returned to the firm after practising with Clifford Chance LLP in Europe and in the Middle East, working as vice-president for Rothschild in London and acting as vice-president and general counsel for Dialogue Technologies. His extensive experience in both major international cross-border transactions and working with emerging companies will be a considerable asset for our clients,” said Éric Bédard, managing partner for the region of Quebec.
