Miller Thomson partner to serve second term on STEP council

Miller Thomson announced that partner William (Bill) Fowlis has been elected to serve a second term on the STEP Worldwide Council.

According to the firm’s press release, STEP (Society of Trusts and Estates Practitioners) is a global professional association comprising of lawyers, accountants, financial advisers and other practitioners that work with families to plan for their futures. The council is a representative and consultative body with members appointed by STEP regions.

Fowlis continues in his role concentrating on policy, governance and enhancing communication between the STEP Canada board and the representatives for Canada on council. His three-year term ends in 2022.
