Lavery adds new partner

Lavery Avocats announced the arrival of Selena Lu as a partner in the firm.

According to the firm’s press release, Lu, a member of the Quebec bar since 2010, practises in commercial law and mergers and acquisitions and the drafting of standard contracts, including leases, franchise agreements, distribution agreements and financing agreements. She frequently advises clients abroad on investment and expansion in Canada.

“Dynamic and committed, Selena has undeniable leadership qualities and enjoys a reputation in the business community of which we are very proud. Her arrival strengthens our business law team and increases our client base,” said Anik Trudel, CEO of Lavery. “I have had the privilege of working with Selena for several years, most recently on the board of directors of the Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal, where she demonstrates a strength of character that aligns perfectly with the vision of our firm to be a leader in the legal services industry.”

In addition to her practice, Lu acts as president of the Junior Chamber of Commerce of Montreal (JCCM) and a member of the board of directors of the College of Corporate Directors and the National Museum of Fine Arts of Quebec. She is also very involved in the Chinese community and has been honoured for her contributions.
