Goudge report still a deterrent

The most frightening aspect of being a criminal defence lawyer is contributing to a miscarriage of justice.

A Supreme Court judge once scoffed at my objection to admit an expert report on the basis of qualification, claiming that because the author had an MD behind his name my objection was without merit. I responded with “Goudge.”
