■ Robert Quon has joined Dentons Canada as a partner in the corporate group and lead partner in the firm’s aviation and aerospace sector in its Vancouver office. Quon regularly acts for national and international clients, particularly in aviation and aerospace, including a number of airlines based in Asia and Europe.

■ Ari Kaplan left Koskie Minsky LLP on Sept. 30 to launch Kaplan Law, a solo legal practice focused on mediation in the pension and benefits sector. Kaplan has been a member of the pension and benefits practice at Koskie Minsky for more than 18 years and has served as counsel or co-counsel on some of Canada’s landmark pension cases.

■ Anna Iourina is a new associate at Neinstein LLP. Iourina joined the firm as a summer student in 2014 and completed her articles at the firm in 2016. She has a bachelor of arts from the University of Toronto, majoring in history and Russian language and literature.

■ Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP has hired six new associates for its securities group in the firm’s Toronto office: Kendall Grant, Jon Viner, Salma Gilani, Taylor Dickinson, Patrick Severide and Christopher Yeretsian. In addition, Blakes has added five associates to the corporate group in Toronto: Meaghan Parry, Jenny Paramonova, Austin White, Michael Clark and Whitney Robinson. And three new associates will join the Toronto competition group: Chris Dickinson, Robyn Burns and Jim Robson.

■ Raj Kehar is a new associate with Wood Bull LLP and will focus on land use planning and development law. Kehar was formerly with the City of Mississauga where he served as in-house counsel.
