University of Saskatchewan to open Nunavut law school with 25 seats available

The University of Saskatchewan will design and deliver a new law degree program to Nunavut Arctic College (NAC) in Iqaluit beginning in September 2017, providing the territory with much-needed lawyers.

The response from potential candidates for the program’s 25 available seats has been “tremendous and extremely encouraging,” said Eric Corneau, dean of NAC’s Nunatta Campus in Iqaluit. “We’ll likely fill our spots or be very close to it.
