Clark Wilson names five new partners

Clark Wilson LLP announced the appointment of five new partners, Athar Malik, Avery Saunders, Gordon Behan, Karen Ngan and Katie Mak.

According to the Vancouver firm’s press release, Malik is both an intellectual property lawyer and a registered trademark agent in Canada. He has provided opinions on the availability of trademarks, prosecuted trademark applications, handled trademark oppositions and trademark cancellations (expungement) in Canada, as well as co-ordinated international trademark matters.

Saunders has developed a broad range of experience in mergers and acquisition (M&A) transactions, corporate reorganizations, corporate amalgamations and other business combinations for private companies.

Behan’s practice focuses on estates and trusts law. His litigation services include wills variation claims, executor and trustee compensation, committeeships, breach of fiduciary duty, elder law, testamentary capacity claims, undue influence claims and unjust enrichment claims.

Ngan’s practice areas are commercial real estate, private company M&A and general business law. 

Mak’s practice is focused on banking, insolvency and restructuring, business litigation and fraud and asset recovery law.
