Four corporate finance associates join Wildeboer Dellelce

Wildeboer Dellelce LLP announced that Jessica Coco, Mark Coghlan, Melissa Smith and Niall Sweeney have joined the Toronto firm as associates.

According to the firm’s press release, all four practise primarily in the areas of corporate finance and securities, mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and corporate and commercial law.

Coco joined the firm’s office as a summer student in 2017 and returned to complete her articles in 2018-2019. Coco earned a juris doctor from the Faculty of Law at Queen’s University and holds an honours business administration degree from the University of Windsor’s Odette School of Business.

Coghlan earned a juris doctor (cum laude) from the University of Notre Dame Law School. Prior to law school, he obtained a bachelor of commerce (honours first class) from Queen’s University.

During his time in law school, Coghlan worked in the Notre Dame Athletics Business Office and was a research assistant for the Notre Dame Law School. He completed externships in the Notre Dame Office of General Counsel and Notre Dame Athletics Compliance Department.

Smith received her juris doctor from the Faculty of Law at the University of Toronto. She also holds an honours BA from Queen’s University, specializing in English literature.

During her time in law school, she was a caseworker at the low-income legal clinic, Downtown Legal Services. Smith also served on the executive committee for her school’s Women in Law group and was an editor of Ultra Vires, the faculty’s student newspaper.

Prior to joining the firm, Smith taught an LSAT class for a leading LSAT test preparation company and worked as a research associate at a startup company that used predictive modelling to develop tax software.

Sweeney received a juris doctor from the Faculty of Law at the University of Windsor and a juris doctor from the School of Law at the University of Detroit Mercy. Prior to law school, he obtained an honours BA degree from the University of Toronto, specializing in political science.

During his first year of law school, Sweeney completed a legal internship in Detroit at the Department of Corporation Counsel for Wayne County.
