Dentons announced that Ron Dueck has joined the firm as partner in its tax group, based in Vancouver.

According to Dentons’ press release, Dueck’s practice focuses on tax planning for private and public businesses and funds, particularly in the context of reorganizations, acquisitions and divestitures, capital markets and cross-border investment, as well as both inbound and outbound expansion.

“We are thrilled to welcome Ron as the newest addition to our tax group in Vancouver,” said Mark Woltersdorf, partner and national lead of Dentons’ tax group. “His experience in developing tax-efficient strategies to maximize growth, effect business transitions and implement tailored estate planning strategies, along with his ability to navigate complex CRA audits and disputes, will further enhance our tax practice and client offering, while reinforcing the firm’s competitive standing in the Canadian and global legal markets.”

Dueck earned his bachelor of laws from the University of Victoria and was called to the British Columbia bar in 2008.
