IP litigator joins Lenczner Slaght

Lenczner Slaght announced that associate Jim Lepore is the newest member of the Toronto litigation firm.

According to the firm’s press release Lepore is an experienced litigator with a particular interest in intellectual property and commercial litigation. Drawing on his extensive background in engineering, business, and law, he provides creative solutions to complex disputes involving companies in the technology, telecommunications and oil and gas sectors.

Prior to joining Lenczner Slaght, Lepore summered, articled and practised at Gilbert’s LLP in Toronto.

Lepore graduated from the Western University in 2017 where he was awarded several prizes, such as the WeirFoulds LLP Writing Prize in Intellectual Property, the J.S.D. Tory Writing Prize for excellence in writing and legal research, and the Intellectual Property Institute of Canada’s national writing prize. Outside of the classroom, he volunteered as a case manager at Western’s Business Law Clinic and competed in and won several advocacy competitions. Before law school, he graduated summa cum laude from McMaster University with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and management.
