By now, most have heard of the phenomenon of Pokémon Go, a new app that uses the digital camera and GPS technologies in smartphones to create an augmented reality in which users can capture, train and battle digital Pokémon characters that appear onscreen in real life settings. Although a fun and perhaps nostalgic activity for some, Pokémon Go has become a real concern for liability insurers.
