McInnes Cooper lawyer appointed to CBA board

McInnes Cooper announced that Susan M. Johnson, a lawyer in the firm’s Halifax office, has been appointed to the national board of directors for the Canadian Bar Association (CBA). 

According to the firm’s press release, Johnson will join other new board members on Sept. 1, 2020, for a two-year term.

Johnson is a corporate and tax lawyer, and her practice focuses on simple to complex corporate transactions, tax-efficient corporate reorganizations, tax business planning strategies and a wide range of tax and estates and trusts related matters. 

The CBA represents some 36,000 lawyers, judges, notaries, law teachers and law students from across Canada.
