■ Qajaq Robinson, a lawyer in the Ottawa office of Borden Ladner Gervais LLP, has been appointed to the commission of the upcoming national inquiry into Canada’s missing and murdered indigenous women. In her role as a commissioner of the inquiry, Robinson will examine the systemic causes of violence against indigenous women and girls in Canada and produce interim and final reports on the commission’s findings.
