New associate joins Wood Bull LLP

Wood Bull LLP announced that Monica Poremba has joined the Toronto firm as an associate.

According to the firm’s press release, Poremba’s practice involves all aspects of land use planning and development approvals law as well as a broad range of municipal law subjects.

She has assisted developers and other private sector clients, municipalities, rate payer’s groups and non-profit organizations in navigating land use planning and governmental approval processes, and by providing advice on a broad range of land use approvals-related subject matters including:
  • official plan, zoning, site plan, variances and consents (severances);
  • Local Planning Appeal Tribunal (LPAT) and Toronto Local Appeal Board (TLAB) appeals;
  • environmental matters related to the land use approval process;
  • aggregate resource matters; and
  • access to information.

In addition to the LPAT and TLAB, she has appeared before the Divisional Court, the Environmental Review Tribunal and the former Ontario Municipal Board.
