New Calgary partner for DLA Piper Canada

DLA Piper (Canada) LLP announced that Correna Jones has joined the ‎firm as a partner in the Calgary office. Jones’ practice focuses on ‎employment, labour and business immigration law.

According to the firm’s press release, Jones has almost 20 years experience assisting corporate clients with the full range ‎of their employment law needs, including ‎advice on workplace issues, ‎drafting employment agreements, workplace policies, restrictive covenants ‎and non-‎disclosure agreements and assisting with human rights issues and investigations. ‎‎She has also successfully represented unionized employers in the full spectrum of ‎labour issues, from ‎certification and first agreement collective bargaining to strikes, ‎picketing issues, contract administration, ‎grievance arbitration, unfair labour practice ‎complaints and revocation applications.‎

In business immigration law, Jones provides advice and counsel on all categories of ‎work permit ‎applications, assists with permanent resident applications through ‎provincial nominee programs and ‎provides advice and counsel regarding compliance ‎audits and legal obligations of employers.‎ ‎

Jones joins the firm from Norton Rose Fulbright where she was partner for a number ‎of years.‎
