Lavery adds nine lawyers

Lavery Lawyers announced the hiring of nine of its interns as associate lawyers, Marc-Antoine Bigras, Frédéric Boivin Couillard, Laurence Clavet, Renaud Gravel, Emma-Sophie Hall, Étienne Laplante, Solveig Ménard-Castonguay, Louis Morin and Catherine Voyer.

According to the firm’s press release, Bigras joins the administrative law group. Before starting his law studies, he completed a bachelor's degree in history and a certificate in German, which enabled him to study in Germany and Austria. As part of his professional training, Bigras worked at the Mile End Legal Clinic as a legal intern.

Boivin Couillard joins the business law group. He also has a bachelor of commerce with a specialization in finance from John Molson School of Business, Concordia University. Upon completion of this degree, he participated in an academic exchange at the University of New South Wales in Australia.

Clavet will also work with the business law group. During her law studies, Clavet was an intern at the Mile End Legal Clinic. Before starting her legal training, she developed an expertise in communication and worked in a post-production studio specializing in advertising, dubbing and composition of original music.

Gravel joins the litigation and dispute resolution group. During his studies, he also worked at the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM) Corporate Legal Clinic as a clinician.

Hall joins the labour and employment law group. In addition to her university studies, she was the co-ordinator of the Center for mutual assistance in studying at the Faculty of Law at the Université de Sherbrooke.

Laplante joins the firm’s taxation group. He completed his bachelor of civil law in 2019 at the UQAM and was on the faculty’s honour roll the same year.

Ménard-Castonguay joins the administrative law group. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in political science with a focus on international relations and foreign policies from Laval University.

Morin joins the litigation and dispute resolution group. Before starting his law studies, he completed a bachelor's degree in applied political studies, which enabled him to study for a semester at Vilnius University in Lithuania.

Voyer joins the business law group. She joined the Lavery team in 2018 as part of her second co-operative internship.
