Two former articling students join Smitiuch Injury Law

Smitiuch Injury Law announced that articling students Brandon Murphy and Ben Wilhelm have joined the Toronto firm.

According to the firm’s press release, Murphy earned his law degree from Osgoode Hall Law School. Prior to law school, he completed an honours bachelor of science degree in psychology, neuroscience and behaviour from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ont. 

During law school, Murphy volunteered with Law in Action Within Schools (LAWS) and Pro Bono Students Canada at Osgoode Hall with the Family Law Project. During the summer, he worked as a research assistant in the area of copyright law.

Wilhelm earned his juris doctor from the University of Ottawa, Faculty of Law. Before studying law, he completed a BA in psychology from the University of Guelph.

During law school, Wilhelm worked at the Commission for Complaints for Telecom-Television Services as a dispute resolution officer for customer complaints against their service providers. He also worked as a research assistant at the University of Ottawa where he analyzed international investment treaties using computer programming software.
