Russell Alexander Collaborative Family Lawyers announced it is offering a university scholarship to offset the costs of studying the legal profession as a way to give back and support the Canadian legal field. It has also increased the size of the scholarship it’s offering to offset the costs of technology.

According to its press release, since 2017, the firm in Lindsay, Ont., has given a scholarship each year to a student who has an interest in joining or studying the legal profession.

The winner of the scholarship will receive up to $2,000 toward their post-secondary education and due to uncertainty around the academic calendar, the scholarship application deadline has been extended to Sept. 30, 2020. This year, the scholarship will also include a technology stipend worth an additional $500 to buy a personal computer or tablet needed to take classes online.
