WEL Partners promotes two to partner

WEL Partners announced that Daniel Paperny and Matthew Rendely have been promoted to partner.

According to the Toronto trust and estates boutique’s press release, Paperny joined the firm in 2018, after years of practising estate, commercial and insurance litigation in Vancouver. 

He is a regular speaker for the Ontario Bar Association and Elder Abuse Prevention Ontario, presenting on a number of estate-related topics including the importance of making a will, up-to-date estate planning, powers of attorney and the prevalence of elder abuse in Canada and ways in which it can be prevented and remedied.

Rendely joined the firm in 2018. He practises exclusively in the areas of wills, estates, trusts, powers of attorney, guardianship and capacity related litigation and has worked on matters at all levels of court, including the Supreme Court of Canada.

He has volunteered as duty counsel and has participated in the HIV and AIDS Legal Clinic Ontario (HALCO).
