To this day, the highlight of my commercial flying career is having made crudely folded paper airplanes for my friends during recess. Until recently, aerial photography, delivery, and inspections were cost-prohibitive and required an airplane and a licensed pilot — definitely not something a student on an allowance could afford. But now, with the proliferation of inexpensive unmanned aircraft, we’re all just a few hundred dollars away from becoming “professional” pilots.
