Canadian medical schools shed U.S. review

Last month, McGill University’s Faculty of Medicine was put on probation for the first time in its 186-year history after it was found to be non-compliant with 24 of 132 standards, including inadequate instruction in several areas and inconsistent physical examinations in core clerkship rotations, according to the findings of the Committee on Accreditation of Canadian Medical Schools (CACMS) and the U.S.-based Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME).
