Greater legal protections for LGBT community needed, advocate says

Many Canadians applauded last month’s U.S. Supreme Court decision legalizing same-sex marriage, a right enshrined here since the Civil Marriage Act came into force a decade ago. But NDP MP Randall Garrison, official Opposition critic for LGBT issues, says there is still much work to be done here.
