Two senior associates join WeirFoulds team

WeirFoulds welcomed senior associates Micah Goldstein and Michael C. Ly to the firm.

According to the firm’s press release, Goldstein joined the firm’s municipal, development and land use planning practice group. His practice is focused on expropriation and planning law.

He has acted for municipal authorities and expropriated landowners throughout Ontario. He has represented clients before the Ontario Superior Court, several administrative boards and tribunals and private arbitrators.

Prior to joining WeirFoulds, Goldstein worked as an associate at a boutique firm focusing primarily on expropriation law. He also gained extensive experience on litigation files at a full-service firm, appearing on motions, pretrial conferences, small claims court trials and Landlord and Tenant Board hearings.

Ly joined the firm’s construction law practice group. His practice encompasses all areas of construction law.

He represents a variety of clients, including developers, suppliers, consultants and public institutions. He has experience drafting and negotiating contracts and preparing pleadings on issues such as liens, breach of contract and professional negligence.

Prior to joining WeirFoulds, Ly was an associate at a Toronto litigation firm. He practised civil litigation with an emphasis on subrogated claims involving contractor negligence and product liability. He also has experience in insolvency law and commercial litigation.
