DLA Piper announces new Edmonton partner

DLA Piper (Canada) LLP announced that Jerritt R. Pawlyk has joined the ‎firm as a partner in the Edmonton office.

According to the firm’s press release, Pawlyk has a restructuring and insolvency ‎practice and is an experienced advocate and ‎adviser for ‎clients across many ‎industries, in particular the real estate and real estate finance sector. ‎

With over 15 years representing clients in all aspects of the insolvency process, Pawlyk ‎has acted ‎extensively for lenders, distressed companies, receivers, creditors, ‎trustees, ‎monitors and other ‎professionals in all types of proceedings. In addition to his restructuring work, Pawlyk ‎also advises on builders’ liens and other ‎construction related ‎issues, as well as ‎commercial litigation, especially when these ‎issues intersect with insolvency. ‎

The press release notes that Pawlyk joins DLA Piper from Bishop & McKenzie where he was partner for a ‎number of years.‎
