Harper Grey partnership expands by three lawyers

Harper Grey LLP announced that Owais Ahmed, Drew Lawrenson and Daniel Reid have joined the partnership.

According to the firm’s press release, Ahmed’s practice is focused on commercial litigation and securities litigation, and he represents clients involved in commercial and shareholder disputes, securities class actions and regulatory matters before the B.C. Securities Commission, Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada, Mutual Fund Dealers Association, TSX and B.C. Financial Services Authority and other regulators.

Ahmed attended Osgoode Hall Law School and was called to the bar in B.C. in 2011.

A member of Harper Grey’s business law group, Lawrenson has extensive experience working with First Nations and educational institutions and provides his clients with corporate commercial, real estate and governance advice. His practice focuses on advising a range of industries such as energy, forestry, real estate and education. He attended the University of British Columbia and was called to the bar in 2005.

Reid maintains a diverse practice including health law and insurance law, with particular experience in online defamation, breach of privacy and professional negligence cases. He attended the University of British Columbia and was called to the bar in 2009.
