Three new associates for Dickinson Wright

Dickinson Wright LLP announced that associates Jacky Cheung, Richard Schuett and Carly Walter have joined the firm’s Toronto office, effective Jan. 1, 2021.

According to the firm’s press release, Cheung has a broad commercial litigation practice and has worked on a variety of matters involving injunctions, employment law, contract disputes, judicial review of administrative decisions and debt enforcement. He is a member of the Ontario and Canadian Bar Associations. Cheung received his BA from Queen’s University and his juris doctor from Western University.

Schuett is developing a broad practice in the areas of corporate law, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), banking, corporate finance and franchise matters. He is a member of the Ontario Bar Association. Schuett received his BA and master’s degrees from Western University and his J.D. from the University of Ottawa.

Walter’s practice consists of a variety of corporate matters with a focus on M&A and corporate finance. She provides advice to importers and retailers on a broad range of product marketing law issues, and advises clients when navigating Canada’s federal and provincial privacy legislation among other regulatory matters. Walter received her BA from McGill University and her J.D. from the University of Toronto.
