Police worn camera policies coming into focus in Canada

Lawyers and courts will have to grapple with thorny legal and privacy issues as more front-line police officers across Canada don body cameras, privacy officials say.

The cameras, already in regular use by a growing number of police forces south of the border, are being pilot-tested in major centres across Canada, including Victoria, Edmonton, Calgary and Ottawa. Toronto police began their trial this month.
