Davies adds new Montreal tax partner

Davies Ward Phillips & Vineberg announced that Marie-France Dompierre has joined the firm as a partner in its tax disputes group in Montreal.

According to Davies’ press release, Dompierre has over a decade of experience working with corporations and individuals to avoid, manage and successfully resolve all manner of tax disputes. 

Before joining Davies, she practised at a full-service regional law firm and a law firm affiliated with an international professional services firm. She previously served as counsel with the Department of Justice, representing the Canada Revenue Agency in tax appeals, and as a Crown prosecutor focusing on the proceeds of crime and tax fraud. She articled as a judicial law clerk at the Tax Court of Canada.

Dompierre is vice-chair of The Advocates’ Society’s tax litigation practice group, a founding member of the Canadian Tax Foundation’s tax litigation committee and a member of the Quebec bar taxation committee.
