Blaney McMurtry promotes two to partner

Blaney McMurtry announced that Jodi Solomon and Anthony H. Gatensby have joined the partnership.

The firm’s press release notes that Solomon is a member of the employment and labour group. She provides advice in all matters of workplace law and workplace disputes.

Acting on behalf of both employers and employees, her practice encompasses a broad spectrum of employment law, including wrongful and constructive dismissal, Occupational Health and Safety Act prosecutions, human rights, harassment, as well as executive compensation in the public and private sector. Solomon appears before the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario, the Ontario Court of Justice, Ontario Superior Court of Justice and the Divisional Court.

Gatensby is a member of the insurance coverage counsel group. He provides practical legal advice and representation to both insurers and policyholders on all manner of first-party and third-party insurance coverage matters.

He provides advice on potential and existing claims, both before and during litigation. He is consulted on the rewriting of existing policies and the implementation of new wordings and policy forms. He appears routinely in applications and before appellate courts on novel issues of law.
