Langlois Lawyers announced that Sean Griffin, a partner and member of the board of directors, has been named head of the firm’s litigation group. He succeeds Bernard Jolin, who was recently appointed to the Quebec Superior Court for the District of Montreal.

The firm’s press release notes that as a litigator, Griffin’s practice areas include constitutional law, commercial and administrative law and corporate and securities law. He defends public and private companies, financial institutions, various entities active in the financial markets, and their directors and officers. Griffin represents his clients in a wide variety of civil and statutory proceedings, including class actions and regulatory investigations.

“As a strong litigator known for his leadership, Sean is more than qualified to lead our litigation team. He acts as a strategic adviser to a number of clients at all levels of the Canadian justice system. We know we can count on him,” Jean-François Gagnon, CEO of Langlois Lawyers, said in the press release.
