U.S. Federal Court issues restraining order on Trump's immigration ban

U.S. President Donald Trump has been handed a sharp rebuke from the federal courts.

A temporary nationwide restraining order (TRO) was issued, staying Trump’s controversial executive order that barred nationals from seven Muslim majority countries from entering the United States for 90 days.

The White House also suspended the U.S. Refugee Admissions Program for 120 days and indefinitely suspended acceptance of any refugees from Syria, pending a review. The states of Washington and Minnesota challenged that executive order.
