Torys announces four new partners

The international business law firm Torys has added four new partners to the firm. 

Huw Evans focuses on corporate law, with an emphasis on mergers and acquisitions, energy and infrastructure and private equity. He has experience in domestic and international investment, mergers and acquisitions and divestiture transactions and corporate reorganizations. He has also advised clients on a broad range of corporate, securities and governance matters.

Richard Johnson's practice focuses on corporate taxation, particularly M&A, dispositions and other reorganizations; debt and equity offerings; and transactions involving alternative energy (including wind, solar and hydro). He has extensive experience in the areas of sales and use tax, goods and services tax and harmonized sales tax.

Nina Mansoori focuses on corporate law with an emphasis on corporate banking, leveraged finance and structured finance.

Adam Slavens' practice focuses on corporate and restructuring and insolvency law. He specializes in representing major participants and stakeholders in the financial restructurings of distressed companies in out-of-court workouts and refinancings as well as formal proceedings under the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act and arrangements under the Canada Business Corporations Act
