Dunton Rainville adds lawyers in Montreal, Saint-Jérôme

Dunton Rainville welcomed lawyers Rebecca Palanee to its Montreal team and Benjamin Lachance who joined its office in Saint-Jérôme, Que.

According to the firm’s press release, Palanee works mainly in the areas of municipal law and administrative law. Admitted to the Quebec bar in 2019, she holds a bachelor’s degree in law from the University of Montreal and completed her bar internship in the public service where she was called upon to plead regularly before the Administrative Tribunal of Quebec. Before joining Dunton Rainville, Palanee practised in a boutique law firm in civil and commercial litigation. 

Admitted to the bar in 2020, Lachance works mainly in the areas of public law, municipal law and civil and commercial litigation. He holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Montreal and a bachelor’s degree in civil law from the University of Ottawa. In addition, he is currently undertaking a master’s degree in constitutional and municipal law for which he obtained the Raoul Barbe and Yolande Larose scholarship awarded to a student whose work focuses on the study of the judiciary. During his studies, Lachance participated in the Laskin moot court competition where he and his team won the prize for second best thesis. He was also involved in the Constitutional Law Association of the University of Ottawa.
