Roper Greyell welcomed Nimrit K. Sian to the firm.

According to the Vancouver firm’s press release, Sian practises in all areas of workplace law with a focus on contractual disputes, workplace policy development and litigation. Prior to joining Roper Greyell, Sian managed a general commercial litigation practice in multiple practice areas, including construction, regulatory and employment matters, as in-house counsel for a large, not-for-profit community insurance organization.

Sian has a BA from Simon Fraser and a juris doctor from the University of Windsor/University of Detroit dual degree program. She was called to the British Columbia bar in 2018.

Prior to law school, Sian volunteered with the Law Students’ Legal Advice Program at the University of British Columbia, where she assisted low-income clients in the areas of employment, residential tenancy, immigration and criminal matters; and she also authored a research paper on relevant immigration issues. Sian volunteers as a mentor with both the YWCA and South Asian Law Students’ Association (SALSA).
