“We are very pleased to welcome Caroline to our firm,” managing partner Tom Curry said in the news release. “She has a wide-ranging experience in court and a demonstrated record of success as an advocate in French and English.”

Prior to joining Lenczner Slaght, Humphrey practised at a national firm where she gained experience litigating complex commercial disputes, urgent proceedings for injunctive relief, Anton Piller orders, Norwich orders and injunctions relating to the protection of copyright. She also prosecuted and defended claims of professional negligence. She has appeared before all levels of court in Ontario, the Federal Court and the Supreme Court of Canada, representing her clients in both English and French.

Humphrey received her J.D. from the Faculté de droit of the Université de Moncton, where she was the recipient of scholarships from the Department of Canadian Heritage for academic achievement. In law school, she participated in the National Trial Advocacy Competition (Sopinka Cup) and was awarded Best Overall Advocate. She also participated in the Gale Cup Moot in 2016 and the Faculté de droit’s competitive moot in 2015.
