Norton Rose Fulbright adds new employment law partner in Calgary

Norton Rose Fulbright announced the arrival of Jeff Landmann as a partner in employment law and litigation in the Calgary office.

According to the firm’s press release, Landmann is an experienced litigator who handles corporate and commercial disputes and employment law-related matters. He advises employers in negotiation and preparation of employment contracts and severance packages, employment policies and procedures, employment standards, privacy, and employment litigation, mediation, arbitration and human rights claims before the courts, labour boards and administrative tribunals.

He is coming to us with insights on what corporations really want and will be able to provide services tailored to their needs. Moreover, his extensive experience will help our clients manage risk and overcome significant employment obstacles on their paths to success, while strengthening our position in the legal services market in Canada and abroad,” Roger F. Smith, managing partner, Calgary office, said in the news release.

Landmann also has broad experience in complex commercial litigation, including oil and gas, insurance, partnership and shareholders, commercial real estate, civil fraud, passing off and trademark disputes.

Prior to joining Norton Rose, Landmann held the positions of vice-president, labour relations and governance and director, legal and privacy officer at a large Canadian airline corporation.
