Aird & Berlis welcomes two new partners

Aird & Berlis LLP announced that Faruk Gafic and Miranda Spence have become partners of the firm.

Gafic is a member of the real estate group and commercial leasing team. He has significant experience advising clients in commercial real estate matters and regularly advises major landlords and tenants of office, industrial and retail properties. He is experienced in drafting and negotiating commercial leases and related leasing documentation, including offers to lease and complex lease amending agreements.

Spence is a member of the litigation group. She has a broad practice with an emphasis on general commercial proceedings, financial services litigation and construction and leasing disputes. Spence has appeared as counsel at all levels of the Ontario courts and regularly represents clients before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice. She is also involved in mentoring law students and was recently appointed to The Advocates' Society's Young Advocates' Standing Committee for a two-year term.
