Settling a family law dispute is only the first step, then comes the documentation

Once the parties have reached a settlement in a family law dispute, the next issue is how to document it.  

Depending on the dispute resolution process that was used to arrive at the settlement, different approaches may be considered. If the settlement was the result of a negotiation between counsel, in most cases one counsel will prepare a draft separation agreement for approval by the other counsel.
