Vettor Crown attorneys, bail co-ordinators to help speed up court system

The Ontario government is hiring a bail vettor and a bail co-ordinator for the Mulcaster Street courthouse in Barrie, Ont. Both are part of the province’s ongoing efforts to improve the performance of the justice system.

The bail vettor will be an experienced Crown attorney who will help make bail courts more efficient and to facilitate faster bail decisions and resolutions in appropriate cases, said Emilie Smith, a spokeswoman with the Ministry of the Attorney General.
