Court of Appeal upholds review board's detention order for man

The Ontario Court of Appeal upheld an Ontario Review Board ruling that no changes be made to an appellant’s current detention order.

In its hearing on April 16, 2016, the board was asked to determine whether the appellant, Mwafak Hannora, is still a threat to the safety of the public. If that was so, the question before the board was then what was the necessary and appropriate disposition in regards to s. 672.54 of the Criminal Code.
