Hamilton council passes landmark vote on transgender rights

Hamilton City Council, in a unanimous vote on March 8, approved a policy recognizing and protecting transgender rights.

The protocol was developed by council and ensures that all individuals have the right to access gender segregated municipal facilities, such as washrooms and change rooms, according to their self-gender identity.
