Digital service provider Kroll announced that Jaycee Roth has joined the firm as an associate managing director in the cyber risk practice, based in the Toronto office.

According to the firm’s press release, Roth specializes in incident response, incident handling, ransomware investigations, digital forensics and complex cybercrime investigations. Since November 2018, she has conducted and/or supervised over 600 ransomware and incident response cases.

Prior to joining Kroll, Roth was director of digital forensics and incident response at Arete Advisors (Arete) in Toronto, where she led and managed a team of incident responders and digital forensic analysts to assist companies in rapidly addressing security incidents and mitigating threats. In this role, she participated in large-scope high-impact cyberbreaches and managed incident response workflow and activities to support response and remediation. Before becoming a director at Arete, Roth was an associate director. Prior to Arete, she worked at Kivu Consulting and Herjavec Group.

“Given the complexity of today’s cyberthreat landscape, we’re seeing a growing demand for talented investigators to help contain, eradicate and remediate attacks,” Ben Demonte, managing director and North America Cyber Risk practice leader, said in the release. “Jaycee will join a team of seasoned investigators and work closely with legal and insurance channel partners in Canada to deliver superior threat hunting, incident response and litigation support to organizations of all sizes. We’re delighted to welcome her to the team.”
