Alberta seeking input to update its labour, employment codes

The government of Alberta has launched a public survey to get input for updating the province’s Employment Standards Code and Labour Relations Code.

This is the first major review of the codes since 1988. The online survey which interested parties can contribute their views and recommendations can be accessed here. It will be open until April 18, 2017.

Shirley Lin, public affairs officer with the Alberta Ministry of Labour, said workplaces have changed a lot in the province in the past 30 years.
