Union accuses Saskatchewan government of unfair labour practices in suit

The Saskatchewan Government and General Employees’ Union (SGEU) has filed an unfair labour practices application with the Labour Relations Board against the provincial government.

“We’re filing it in response to the government’s actions of late,” said Bob Bymoen, president of the SGEU, which represents over 20,000 workers across the province. “Their actions have become, in our opinion, quite arbitrary and it’s hard to say they’re in good faith … it makes it hard to bargain a collective agreement on behalf of, for example, the cleaners.”...
