Border agency's search of electronic devices spurs probe by Privacy Commissioner

A complaint related to the search of electronic devices at the Canadian border has prompted the Privacy Commissioner of Canada to launch an investigation into the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) over this practice.

When contacted by The Lawyer’s Daily, the Office of Privacy Commissioner would not go into details about the specific complaint that prompted the investigation or its investigation of the agency.
